THE GOSPEL Song

Hi everybody!
So I'll intruduce you to the origins of the gospel. It's something that I really like!

The gospel is a mix between music and religion.  It comes from the expression “God Spell”. It’s the Black African who begin to sing this song when they were in the fields. Because they were slaves, they pray a lot to God.
The subject of the song can be sometimes sadly but it was the reality of the labours and singing to God was the way that they could support their situation.
The gospel was born in the XIXth century; it becomes the equivalent of the Blues.
The style of this, is the African style, the people sing very loud, they strike hands and feet and slam fingers. There is often a soloist (a singer who sings alone) and the choir which answers him/her. In this music the voices allow all what they want. For example someone can improvise and shout and so on.
Now a day the gospel is always to sing to God but we use it more in the church, even when you are Black or White and we can hear concert of it.
